Judo Aotearoa is thrilled to announce an exciting new initiative in partnership with the TOA brand, designed to support our judo community by providing affordable, high-quality gear and merchandise while giving back to the players who need it most. 

The TOA Player Fund is a game-changer for clubs and athletes across New Zealand, ensuring everyone has access to quality gear and a chance to benefit from financial support.

How It Works

Affordable, Branded Gear for Clubs

The TOA brand, in collaboration with Judo Aotearoa, offers clubs access to high-quality judo gis and branded merchandise (such as apparel and accessories) at affordable rates.

 Clubs can customize items with their own insignia, sourced directly from the supplier, ensuring a professional look and feel without breaking the bank.

The TOA Player Fund

Every time a TOA-branded item is purchased, a small percentage of the sale goes directly into the TOA Player Fund. This fund is dedicated to supporting Judo athletes who need financial assistance to continue their journey in the sport. 

Annual National Championships Draw

In the lead up to the Judo New Zealand  National Championships each year, every club registered in New Zealand can nominate up to two players they believe would benefit from financial support. Clubs will be provided with crieteria in advance of the National Championships.

Nominated players will be entered into a draw, and during the event, winners will be randomly selected to share the Player Fund.

If the fund reaches $5000 or less, it will go to one lucky winner.

If the fund reaches $10,000 or less, it will be split equally between two winners.

If the fund exceeds $10,000, it will be divided among more players to ensure each receives a meaningful amount (capped at $5,000 per player). For example:$10,000–$15,000: Split between 3 players.Over $15,000: Split among 4 players.
