A Night to Remember: Judo Aotearoa Quiz Night Raises Over $7,300!

On 13 November 2024, friends, family, and supporters of Judo Aotearoa gathered for a night of trivia, laughter, and friendly competition at our annual Quiz Night—and what a night it was!

Teams packed the venue, going head-to-head across the quiz rounds in a tight contest of general knowledge, judo facts, and just a touch of strategic guesswork. The energy was high, the rivalry good-natured, and the team spirit undeniable.

But the quiz was just the beginning.

Thanks to an incredible lineup of generous sponsors and supporters, the night also featured raffles, spot prizes, a silent auction, and live auctions, with plenty of fun and bidding battles along the way. From sports gear and event tickets to mystery prizes and one-of-a-kind experiences, there was something for everyone—and every prize helped us edge closer to our fundraising goal.

We’re thrilled to announce that, together, we raised over $7,300 in support of Judo Aotearoa programmes and initiatives. These funds will go directly toward athlete development, training opportunities, and helping to grow judo throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
